Born in Medellín, Colombia, artist Patricia Bravo uses photography to explore the contradictions of human nature; love, violence, absence, fragility and time. Her work is deeply influenced by political events and issues concerning life and death. She keeps feelings and moments alive, through her photographs, bringing absence into the present.

“My reflection begins with looking at my environment, and the relationships we establish with others. My body, the history of this city and the awareness of time are fundamental elements of my work” says Patricia.
