Male Correa
"I am the daughter of an ex-alcoholic father who I didn't meet until I I was 23 years old .
It was no longer time to be father and daughter, but we became great friends.
After his death I made a series of self-referential works that allude to a universal issue: The search for the father.
If I wanted to sumarize my work as a concept, it would be IDENTITY. What makes me different is having an identical twin sister; I am a unique but a repeated human being. I have always lived life in the plural and with my most recent artistic work, I want to experience who I am in the singular.”
Male Correa works on paper and sometimes combines her poetic writing as part of her exploration on the subject of Identity.
